Q: Would you sell me this or that specific guitar?
A: I am frequently being asked to sell a particular guitar. Answer: No, none of these instruments is for sale except if explicitly stated on the respective page.
Q: Where do the gradings on your pages come from, and what do they mean?
A: The gradings used on the individual pages are in accordance with The Blue Book of Electric Guitars, 7th. Edition, pg. 32 ff. (here)
Q: I have (or someone offered me) this particular guitar. Could you please tell me what it's worth?
A: I get frequent inquiries what this or that guitar may be worth. Please note I am a collector, not an appraiser. I can only look up the Blue Book, for which I have no time. Plus, it makes no sense without actually having seen the guitar. If you need to find out about a certain guitar, get a copy of the Blue Book like I did. (ISBN 1-886768-26-9)
Q: Could you help me to find a particular guitar model?
A: No - how should I? I am not a dealer, and I had to be patient to find something as well. Be creative :-))
Q: When was my guitar with serial number XXXXXX built?
A: Oh that's easy. Please check this Blue Book link, at least for Gibsons. You could have found this link on the Gibson web page within 3 minutes using your favourite internet search engine, like I did.
Q: Can you please send me more information about a specific guitar model?
A: What I know is written here. What's not written here I don't know.
Q: How do I spot a forgery?
A: You may want to go to George Gruhn's article colletion that has articles on collecting, forgeries and many other related topics.
Q: I don't like the shitty design of your web page.
A: I know perfectly well that my pages look very outdated, design-wise. I create them in HTML directly, using the Emacs editor on Linux. But then, they are perfectly viewable with every single browser on this planet. Last not least: sorry for using frames but I dislike Javascript or Java menus even more, as well as MS Windows, Frontpage, or similar crap. Unfortunately, www.muc.de doesn't support PHP yet.
